If you follow my twitter feed you will know that yesterday I tweeted about nothing but the fact the my new Amazon Kindle was due and in fact arrived.
Now I’ve had a day to play with it, what do I think?

Kindle, the first day
Bank holiday weekned
Yes, it’s a bank holiday here in the UK. Here are Saturday and Sundays images.

A snap of my workstation while I’m working on my new adventure. Yes, I’m working on the floor again, but it is the biggest space in flat and I need it the way I spread stuff out!

Yes I know there are two photos for Saturday, but they are linked. Why close this entrance to a local park, when the park it’s self is still open. You have to cross the river and then come back to get in to it now. Very strange. And this makes the sign next to the gate a bit ironic.
Epub support in Pages
Great news!
Now that Apple has adopted epub as it’s format for iBooks (this is not new news, but I’ve only just noticed it), Pages can export to this.

An old Windows friend on the Mac
I’d heard this was coming, but I still a little surprised when, I discovered that SecureCRT had been released for the Mac

Almost a week
Well it couldn’t last! I’ve gone back to doing Project 365 posts in batches. Here are 4 more (almost a working weeks worth!)

A spectacular rainbow captured during a late evening shower on my way home from shopping tonight. The rainbow is very high in the sky and redish due the the very low sun and the red sky. I very good picture considering I captured it at moments notice while in a car driving up a hill. Don’t worry I wasn’t driving, in fact I can’t drive

Another one of the soft toys I have littered around my flat. It’s Sgt. ‘Wombo’ Burnet, the Combat Wombat, next to my Echidna and TV set!

This small, cold and loud room is where I spend 3 hours, first nursing, then replacing an ageing network switch, which had become ‘flaky’ over the last few days. A fun time was had by all, well by me and no it wasn’t fun at all!

I’ve finally got around to building and filling the bookshelves I showed, in bits here. Building them took 10 minutes, rearranging the room to fit them in and filling them took the best part of a day!
Triple headed crane
Recycling time
Wow a post in project 365 for a single day. It’s been a while since that happened! Anyway on with the post

It think it’s probably time to take the metal and glass recycling out. Yes I know I should take out more often, but living as a single male, my flat is definitely a bachelor pad and this recycling pile is definitely not the worst you would find in my flat! It is the worst you’ll find on these pages however!
See you tomorrow.
Nest and Coms room
Two follow up images for Friday and Saturday

The odd looking big ugly bird I spotted nesting by the riverside on Tuesday this week, seems to have gone. I’ve not seen after Wednesday morning. I could have just missed the times when it’s at it’s nest, but somehow I think it’s gone. My guess is it was driven off by the large Pigeon population that lives under the old concrete wharfs. Sad really, but that’s nature for you, cold and hard.

As mentioned on Wednesday this week, here is a picture of the doors to the world most dangerous coms room. We have warnings about electric shock, not to eat, drink or smoke in there, security nose and laser warnings, plus notifications about the fire suppression gas system and earth bonding, phew! It’s dangerous in there kid! :}
writing…or not
<sigh> I’m still not really writing at the moment, maybe this is the summertime blues or maybe it is writers block. Not sure, but I’m not writing much at all of late
